Project Specification

Details

58 luxury flats concealed in an ancient churchyard surrounded by green spaces.

The contemporary apartments of this £20 million development required high quality and easy maintenance bathrooms, to suite the homes luxury yet practical style.

Approached by the main contractor who had been let down by a previous supplier, we worked closely with contractor and architect to provide them with our quickest installation prospect at a reasonable cost to suite existing project budgets that had already been set.

Brief

The new build apartment washroom subcontract package was split into various phases to fit in with the various construction stages.

First we supplied and installed for the show home washrooms to ensure client approval of the panelling and provide a showroom washroom area for potential house buyers.

This gave the client the final opportunity to tweak designs where required and after this our install teams were given the final go ahead to provide installation for the quick appearing new apartments.

Solution

Our solution was a dark woodgrain laminate wall panelling system to create a flush fronted, and easy to clean solution.

The panelling provides easy access and maintenance to the concealed sanitaryware pipework if required, and gives a flush fronted bathroom storage cupboard – fitting in with the urban space efficiency reflected in the apartment project.

Installation of duct panelling to a large quantity of small washrooms to a complex programme involved our install teams working closely alongside other subcontractors involved in the same area to ensure our systems were installed at an appropriate point in the project schedule to allow for the other teams to prepare and complete their trades on time as well.
